چکیده مقاله:

Breast cancer is a serious and potentially lethal disease in 40-50 aged women. This disease is a multi-factor disease, genetically mutation and environmentalcondition plays important role in the breast cancer. Only five to ten percent ofthe breast cancer patients have a known mutation and about 70% of breastcancer patient are not related to genetically mutation. Environmental factors, such as stress can disrupted the balance between central nerve system and theimmune system. Imbalance of immune system can lead to tumor progression.Serotonin plays an important role related to stress, in this prospective study weinvestigated expression of the serotonin receptors (5HTR3A) in 30 bloodsamples of breast cancer patient in comparison with 30 healthy individuals. Weisolated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from blood samplesfollowed by total cellular RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, and real-time PCRusing primer pairs specific for (5HTR3A) mRNA and beta-actin as an internalcontrol. Finally RT-PCR products were sequenced to confirmed amplicon.Statistical analysis showed significant increasing of 5HTR3A gene expressionin PBMC of patients. In conclusion, increasing of 5HTR3A may be play an important role as stressfactors in pathogenesis of Breast cancer.
