چکیده مقاله:

This study examines the relationship between attachment styles and depression with the mediating role of early maladaptive schemas of male high school students in the Yasouj city. The research method was descriptive and correlational. The population of the study consisted of all male high school students in the Yasouj city which are 2500 persons. The number of 86 students were selected as the subjects of the study with regard to the Cochran formula. In the current study, to assess validity of questionnaire were used content validity methods. The internal reliability of the items was verified by computing the Cronbach’s alpha. For analyzing data is used descriptive and inferential statistics by using the SPSS software. In this study were used descriptive and inferential statistics. In the descriptive statistics were used statistical characteristics such as frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation and in the inferential statistics were used multiple regression tests, Pearson correlation coefficient and analysis of variance. Research findings are as follows: In first hypotheses, there is a significant research between secure attachment style and depression with the mediating role of early maladaptive schemas. In second hypotheses, there is a significant research between avoidance attachment style and depression with the mediating role of early maladaptive schemas. In third hypotheses, there is a significant research between ambivalent attachment style and depression with the mediating role of early maladaptive schemas.
