Synthesis and identification of bovine serum albumin nanoparticles (BSA NPs) as a drug delivery system

Bovine serum albumin nanoparticles (BSA NPs) as a suitable and biocompatible carrier for drug delivery were synthesized by desolvation method. Characterization of nanoparticles were analysed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), Atomic force microscopy (AFM) and Dynamic light scattering (DLS). Results showed that the average particles size is 187.9 nm and distribution is in a narrow range. Furthermore, the morphology of BSA NPs was spherical and uniform which indicates that these particles are suitable for drug loading.
