The effect of hypnosis on cancer patient

Cancer patient suffers from negative impacts on both physical and psychological health. Hypnosis therapy techniques are often recommended as treatments for cancer complications. The Aim of ThisReview was to Investigate the Effect Of hypnosis on a cancer patient. Using The Keywords Cancer, Hypnosis, and Pain On Electronic Databases Including SCOPUS, PUBMED, MAGIRAN, MEDLINE, SID And GOOGLE SCHOLAR Were Searched. Finally, 45 Articles from 2007 Up To 2017, For Abstracts In English Were Found, Which 34 Of Them Was Irrelated To Our Aims. Finally, 11 Articles Based On The Inclusion Criteria Are Reviewed. Four Study Suggest That hypnosis Maybe an effective intervention in the management of pain in acute myeloid leukemia patients under chemotherapy, cancer procedure-related pain in children, skin tumor removal surgery and Patients Undergoing Bone Marrow Procedures. Four Other Studies Showed that there is a statistically significant relationship between hypnosis and controlling and potentially preventing fatigue, distress and pain in breast cancer radiotherapy patients, also 3 other Studies reported that hypnosis could be a clinically valuable intervention for treatment of inducted nausea and vomiting in cancer chemotherapy. The results support the use of hypnosis techniques to manage distress and pain in different kind of cancer like acute myeloid leukemia and Breast Cancer. Also, it could be useful in reducing the side effect of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, such as nausea and vomiting.
