چکیده مقاله:

Cancer is the third leading cause of death after Coronary heart disease and events in Iran. Esophageal cancer is the sixth leading cause of death in the world that around 386,000 people die each year fromthat. Shh signaling pathway has a central role in the initiation, proliferation, invasion and metastasis of various cancers. The development of cancer therapy targeting. the Shh signaling is an important topicfor future research. To elucidate the role of this gene in esophageal squamous in tumor tissue compared with corresponding tumor-free tissue was evaluated A total 49 patients with histologically confirmed ESCC were included in the study prior to any therapeutic interventions. Quantitative analysis of the mRNA expression was performed by real time reverse transcription- polymerase chain reaction and the clinicopathologic associations were assessed. The expression of Ulk3 has significant positive correlation with grade of tumor with the level of P-value=0.026; So that, by overexpression of this gene progress in Grade of tumor was observed. As well Ulk3 play role as a mediator in Shh pathway and has a great Influence on activation of the transcription factor in this pathway. So that, Increased activity of Shh play an important role in tumorigenesis of esophageal squamous cells. By the expression analysis of Ulk3 you can use this as a factor in the target ESCC gene therapy or increased survival by inhibition of gene expression can be used; By Prevention of it’s overexpression can reduce and stop the grade of tumor. Therefore, Whit respect to this result can proved that Shh signaling is an effective pathway in appearance of Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma
