چکیده مقاله:

Today, cancer is one of the main reason of morbidity and mortality among the people all over the world. one of the classic therapeutic regimen is chemotherapy along the radiotherapy and surgery in which the drug agents injected orally or intravenously in body. one of the main barrier in drug delivery to solid tumors is the high distribution of interstitial fluid pressure in tumor that prevent drug macromolecules to reach tumor cells.to find a solution, a better understanding of this phenomena is needed, so we provide a mathematical model in that we can calculate interstitial fluid pressure and velocity and drug transport in both normal and tumor tissues.a numerical method is used to calculate interstitial fluid pressure and velocity and drug transport.in this study the tissue is assumed as a porous medium. Continuity equation, Darcy’s law, starling’s equation and drug transport are applied in the continuum mechanics model. a general spherical model of tumor with random microvessels is utilized. By considering microvessels in tissue we find that drug transport is lower than a tissue without capillaries and high interstitial fluid pressure is elevated by increasing tumor radius.
