Heteroaromatic Ammonium Salt-mediated Sequential One-pot Synthesis of Pyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinolines Derivatives

A series of pyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinolines were efficiently synthesized via 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions of 1-nitro-2-phenylethene with Nphenacylisoquinolinium bromide salts as intermediate of the reaction of isoquinoline and phenacyl bromide at room temperature, in acetonitrile with triethylamine as base. Under different condition 1,3- cycloadditions of same reactants resulted different pyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinoline derivatives in good yields. All synthesized molecules are new. The structure ofthe compounds was assigned by IR, NMR spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy.
