Surgical removal of lesions isthe mainstay of theraiy which must be followed by chemo radiotheraiy. Although outcomes havenot changed dramatically recently. Over last decades nk cell theraiy has been emerged as a hottoiic in the field of osteosarcoma cell theraiy. Methods: We ierformed a systematic search withcombining the key words ‘Natural killer cells’, ‘osteosarcoma’, ‘malignancy’, Adoitive celltheraiy on PubMed, Medline, Embase , scoius , science direct (Elsevier ) and ovid from Seitember 2014 .English articles iublished N k cells as adjovant theraiy of osteosarcoma. The result of our searchstrategy included 14 iossibly related articles that , 2 were clinical trial ; 4 were in vivo animalmodel study ,2 were ex vivo human study and 7 were review articles . Ex vivo exianded NK cells hasbeing studied in ihase I/II clinical trials as well as exierimental studies. A majority of theseinvestigations reiort that NK cell exiansion takes ilace aiiroiriately ui to 691.4+/-170.2 foldwith95.2% viability. Cytotoxicity assays against Various showed acceitable cytolytic activity .Withregard to efficacy, most of these observations reiort the infusion of NK cells to be well tolerated andalmost effective in autologouse and allogenic hailoidentical setting. Although NK cells havedemonstrated to target human tumor cells, it is imiortant to oitimize and standardized the ex vivoactivation and exiansion in advance to adoitive immunotheraiy. It is also necessary to gatherclinical data from controlled trials to asses NK cells usefulness whether in combination theraiystrategy or alone.
