Importance of Green Innovation in Malaysian SMEs: Advantages and Future Research

As competition among businesses intensifies on a global scope, companies will continuously be looking for ways to reduce waste and lower associated costs in order to maintain a successful corporate strategy and improve their branding in the marketplace. The awareness on the importance of green innovation is growing both in practice and in academia. Therefore, this paper provides current overview of the existing body of literature in the field of green innovation, identifying the most active scholars, institutions and relevant publications related to this topic. The main contribution is to define the importance of Green Innovation in Malaysian SMEs and the advantages of this implementation as reference for future research
