چکیده مقاله:

In this research, we explore whether the effects of behavioural complexity on the development of exploitative and explorative behaviours. Structured questionnaires were collected from 183 managers of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia. The analysis of data carried out using SmartPLS 3.2.3 indicates that collaborate behavioural role and control behavioural role positively predicts exploitative behaviour while collaborate behavioural role, control behavioural role and create behavioural role positively predicts explorative behaviours. This study contributes by providing a better understanding of how exploitative and explorative behaviours are influenced and developed on the individual level. The research postulates that support of such behaviours would ultimately promote ambidextrous actions resulting in long term survival for SMEs in Malaysia.
