Investigation of settlement in landfills

Nowadays because of urban development and population increasing the buildings should be constructed on the urban landfills. Sometimes we can not have a correct distinction with eye observation for determination of a landfill site. On the other hand foundation construction on the landfills due to high settlement, toxic gasses such as methane and low bearing capacity is challenging. The present study evaluates the settlement in old landfills in which the waste burial is done with traditional method and the needed and suitable foundation kind for these lands and the pile kind and the related tests are examined.
