Interactive MOLP Methods for Identifying Target Units in DEA Models: Review and New Results

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) directed to evaluating past performance as part of management control function and multi objective linear programming (MOLP) directed to planning future performance targets are two important tools in management control and planning. The relation between MOLP and DEA models has been addressed in the past studies. This paper is devoted to review the existing studies on the equivalency relationship between MOLP problem and DEA models. The established equivalence models are useful to support the design of interactive processes and performance measures for setting future targets with decision makers’ preferences taken into account in an interactive fashion.
