چکیده مقاله:
Goal of this research is analyzing the relation between effective motivations and factors on academic improvement of incoming students to higher educa on ins tu ons in academic year 2012- 2013 in Piranshahr Township. Method of research is descriptivecorrelative and statistical population contains all 350 incoming students to higher education institutions in academic year 2011- 2012. By using Morgan Chart statistical sample calculated equal to 184 personsand selected randomly with stratified method(Azad and Payamnoor Universities). For collecting data researcher made questionnaire derived from four standard related questionnairesnamely self- esteem (Koper Smith),control source (NoikiDouk), Kazemi’s academic motivation evaluation and aKbari’s academic attitude was used. Results of research indicate the relation between improvement motivation with self-esteem, control source and academic attitude. A significant relation was obtained between self- esteem, control source, academic attitude and academic improvement variables. Also a significant relation was seen between improvement motivation and academic improvement.
