Mooring and riser systems in Floating storage unit and Floating production storage and offloading

Nowadays, the use of FSU1&FPSO2 is increasing. Iran needs to construct, installation and operation of these facilities from the Caspian Sea to the Persian Gulf due to havingmultiple fields of crude oil and offshore. Due to the importance of the topic, the purpose of present article was to investigate the designing process of main parts of such structures and its involved factors and elements such as subsea manifold, mooring system ،external Turret mooring system and flexible risers. Finally it has been mentioned to problems and events have been occurred in recent decades to the floating structure industry of the world and led to serious problems and damages at the time of installation and operation, especially referred to a number of events in which the author was presented and finally approaches to prevent from the occurrence of such incidents in the oil industry have been proposed.
