Hydrogels with Zinc oxide nano particles for antimicrobial properties

Hydrogels are crosslinked hydrophilic polymer structures that can imbibe large amounts of water orbiological fluids. Zinc oxide, as a metal bioactive product could be added to the hydrogel in order toimprove its properties.It is shown that the amount of nano zinc oxide affect the antimicrobial properties of hydrogel. Themechanical properties of hydrogels improve with increasing the nano particle amount.
