چکیده مقاله:
In this study the effect of Friction Stir Welding (FSW) parameters on mechanical properties of Al6061 has been investigated. These properties involve ultimate tensile and hardness of the material. For this purpose 9 different conditions with three variable factors which change in three levels have been chosen. These factors are rotational speed of tools, linear velocity and pin profiles including: square, cylindrical and conical. The welding was done in the selected situations and after that the samples of tests were prepared. In the following the Vickers’ hardness test and tensile test was utilized on samples. By studying the results, it was calculated that the pin with conical profile shows better performance among three selected profiles. Moreover the results have been influenced positively by rotational speed, while the linear velocity has positive effect. In another hand it can be illustrated that pin profile plays the most significant role, however the rotational speed and linear velocity have less effect on the results
