Designing a Dynamic Cellular Manufacturing Model with Considering Alternative Routing, Back order andLot Splitting

In this paper, the most comprehensive one to date with a more integrated approach to CMS design is proposed, where dynamic cell configuration, alternative process routings, lot splitting, sequence of operations, multiple units of identical machines, machine capacity, operation cost, setup cost, cell size limits, production planning, and back-order decisions are incorporated. Within this research, we have developed a model in such a way that the system decides on the best routes instead ofthe user specifying pre-determined routes.
