Mineralogical specifications of the Gandy zeolite, east Moaleman north Central Iran

The studied area has been located in the Moaleman area is situating in Torud Quadrangle in the north of Central Iran. The Karaj Formation (Middle Eocene) with crops out from Reshm Village to Gandy Zeolite Mine is observed in the north part of the studied area. In addition to the mentioned area, this zeolite has been further exposed, extending to south and north of Semnan and then to Garmsar. According to the data, the studied zeolite is Na-clinopetilolite and has paragenesis of opal, smectite clay, calcite and dolomite. The base rock of this zeolite is rhyodacite trchyandesite and forming magmatic Seri is alkaline
