Review of biogas purification methods

Biogas is a mixture of methane, carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulphide and various other gases. It is a valuable gas that should be purified before use, because CO2 reduces the heating value of the gas, and H2S corrodes vital mechanical components. To CO2 and H2S we haveseveral different methods mentioned in following: Water and polyethylene Glycol scrubbing, chemical absorption, PSA, Membrane, Bio filter and Cryogenic Separation. In this study the membrane method is the best way of purification, but due to different percentage of methane in Biogas this method could not be suitable. Even though this result is a general conclusion
