Fish lice (Argulus spp.) from ichthyofauna of Iran

Objective: To identify different species of the genus Argulus of fish louse in Iran. Method & Materials: Fresh and fixed specimens of Argulus were examined and specifically identified according to the length of their cephalothorax and carapace and the shape of the abdomen. The abdomen is small, located posterior to the urosome, a morphologically important character in the systematic of Argulus. Results & Conclusion: Two species of Argulus were identified, including A. foliaceaus, A. coregoni.
