چکیده مقاله:

Objective: Due to its high nutritional value as a proper vitamin and antibiotic carrier the use of Artemia nauplii is significantly considerable in aquaculture. The most common procedures of antibiotic administration are adding to water supply or mixing with feeds and feed additives. In both cases this leads to high drug expenses, repetition of the process and microbial resistant. This technique can guaranty good health, prophylactic and treating measures of the aquatics especially fish larvae, by feeding the drug- enriched Artemia to the fish. The appropriate enrichment is reaching the maximum enrichment possible in the shortest time which depends to the time the Artemia reaches instar2. Method & Materials: In the enrichment of Artemia franciscana and Brachionus plicatilis nauplius, with 1, 5 and 10% concentrations, Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim were used while in the enrichment of A. franciscana and Panagrellus redivivus nauplius, 3 mg/ml of Romet-30(2.5 mg/ml Sulfamethoxazole and0.5mg/ml Ormetoprim) with rice chaff were used for 4 hours. Enrichment of A. franciscana nauplius with concentrations of 1, 5, 15, 20 and 40% of Sarafloxacin by means of antibiotic sensitivity test was done in time periods of 2_24 hours. Artemia urmiana enrichment with 25, 70, 75 and 100 mg/mlof oxyolinic acid in 2, 4, 6, 8 hours was done with HPLC. Results & Conclusion: Results from SMX and TMP showed that the total amount of absorbed drug with 10% concentration in 24 hour enrichment is in Artemia nauplius, which is 6 hour more than B. plicatilis. In the other enrichment, however, the remained amount of drug in Artemia nauplius and P. redivivus was 0.1 μg/nauplii and 0.25 μg/nauplii respectively. Enrichment of A. franciscana nauplius with Sarafloxacin showed that 15% concentration of drug during a 6 hour period is effective against all 4 species of Vibrio. Other dosages and even 2 and 4 hours of enrichment however; were not effective. The most average absorbtion of drug in A. urmiana occurred in 100mg/l during a 6 hour period of enrichment and was measured 38/823 14/38 mg/gr/w.w and the least average absorption was in 75mg/l during an 8 hour enrichment and was measured 2/583 0.422 mg/gr/w.w (p<0/001 and p<0.05). The antibiotic usage increased the survival rate of treated fish significantly in comparison with the untreated ones. Enrichment is a proper method of feeding antibacterial agents to the aquatics but using the A. urmiana in this method had not been studied before and more attention should be paid to this subject.
