Study of economical aspects of Aquavae garvetil vaccination against streptococcosis in rainbow trout

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the economical aspects of Aquavae garvetil vaccination against streptococcosis in rainbow trout. Method & Materials: 2000 fish (5gr) were selected from a fishpond and were divided into two equal groups which transferred to separate ponds with equal management and environmental conditions. One of the ponds was selected as control pond in which fish were not vaccinated. In the other pond, fish were vaccinated. Every 16 days, sampling was carried out from ponds and weight and survival factors were measured. The economical value of changing the two above-mentioned factors as an economical aspects of using this vaccine was evaluated. Results & Conclusion: Our results suggest that using Aquavae garvetil vaccine has economic justification and by using this vaccine pisciculturists not only will not bear economic loss but as result of increase in weight and survival rate by using this vaccine will reach to significant profit at the end of raising period.
