چکیده مقاله:

Any society has its own values that need to be kept alive for the existence of it. Media is one of the various tools to do this. The present research was done to study the use of adaptation in the media in order to maintain sociopolitical values. The short story Tigers on the Tenth Day byZakaria Tamer and Be Rang’e Sak’e Sarbazi by Parviz Sheikh Tadi were the case studies analyzed under the principles of Hutcheon’s Theory of adaptation. The most significant finding was theinfluence of the socio political status of the society in manipulating the text and transferring it through media. The researcher is hopeful to this study be a part of the widespread researches in the field of adaptation and motivate other researchers to study the practical uses of adaptation
