چکیده مقاله:
This paper deals with life skills scale for female students of college of Education for women. The importance of these skills found through individuals normal life characterized by changeable situations which made individuals need to deal with variables in right way. These skills help to relate the study and practical application in order to discover the real life besides lots of training. The sample consists of (248) female students chosen randomly. The researcher gives a scale for life skills depending on (The World Health Organization) defenition of life skills in 1994. This scale consists of 28 items distributed on four fields as follow: ( dealing skills with passionate, dealing skills with pressures, dealing skills with time management, dealing skills with communicate with others). After analyzing data, psychometric features have been founded. The results indicated that the female students have life skills and there are differences according to their studying levels. The results of the current study show that the arithmetic average of the female students grades in the scale of life skills is (106) and the standard deviation is (12, 52). Using the second test with one sample shows that there are differences of statistical significance, the calculated of the second degree is (31, 71) and it is larger than tabular (1, 96). Therefore, the female students of college of education for women have life skills that help them to deal with the requirements for university life. This result came in line with the results of Al-Tamimy (2014), Al-Wafi (2010), and Brenda (1981). The present study also found that there are differences in the life skills according to the school stage variable in two skills which are the skill of dealing with time and the skill of dealing with emotions to the first and fourth stage. This confirms the need for female students to develop these skills in university life to accomplish their required tasks.The researcher recommended that : enhance classroom and non-classroom activities in College and University, holding symposiums and workshops.
