Emergence of Hellenistic Culture and Arsacids’ efforts to restore Persian Culture

After occupation of Persia by Alexander , Hellenic culture was expanded in Persia by Greeks and affected Persian culture and various aspects of Persian peoples’ life as art, architecture, religion, literature, and philosophy. This article introduces the mutual influences of Persian culture on Hellenic culture, as well as Persians’ efforts in order to be released of Hellenistic culture’s dominance and restoration of Persian culture. Some evidences indicate that Persian culture has affected on the forming of Hellenistic culture. Arsacids, after getting into power, decreased influence of alien culture gradually and not only substituted Persian culture instead of it, but also innovated an distinct art and culture.
