چکیده مقاله:

When the arterial wall gets hurt, white clot form and blockspath of blood out of the vessel. Since the white clot mostlyconsists of platelet, this is necessary to study plateletmargination near the vessel wall. In the present work, threephase blood flow through different diameter arterioles isinvestigated based on a two dimensional control volumemethod. For this purpose, Eulerian model is used tosimulate plasma, platelets and Red Blood Cells (RBCs)interaction. Platelets and RBCs are assumed as granularsolids which are conveyed by plasma liquid phase. Theeffect of diameter is considered on the wall shear rate andplatelet margination. In this regard, some arterioles under100μm diameter with hematocrit 45% are simulated. It isshown wall shear stress and platelet concentration near thevessel wall increase in result of reduction in arteriolediameter using specific shear rate.
