چکیده مقاله:

X-bracing behavior is more complex and its energy absorption hysteresis loop is differentfrom other concentric bracing systems due to interaction between tension andcompression braces. In this study, seismic behavior of x-bracing system with differentcommon types of middle connection has investigated under monotonic and cyclicloading. In the other words, the inelastic buckling of compression brace and plasticbehavior of tension bracing with modeling in OpenSees software has studied numerically.The obtained results from analysis models show that with rigid connection in the middleconnection of the x-bracing system, seismic behavior is more symmetrical and energyabsorption difference in both direction of loading is less. So generally, seismic behaviorof x-bracing with rigid middle connection is better than seismic behavior of x-bracingwith simple middle connection.
