چکیده مقاله:

Environmental, economic, and health issues are the strong motivations to shift from conventional power generation out of fossil fuels to renewable energy sources. Photovoltaic solar panels are going to supply a significant share of the electrical power needed, especially for domestic applications. As the aim of this paper, a novel DC/AC inverter is proposed by which solar panels can be connected to the domestic grid. The inverter is used to either step-down or step-up a voltage to a desirable voltage level and frequency. Switching losses, volume, and cost are the main issues in design of efficient inverters in photovoltaic applications. The inverter proposed in this paper, is based on a buck-boost converter which is connected to a solar panel. This inverter aims to decrease the losses, volume and consequently the cost. This aim is realized by having only two switches which work in complementary manner to change the DC input voltage of solar panel to an AC output voltage. The inverter is designed such that the output voltage of the converter follows the original sinusoidal voltage. The inverter was simulated in MATLAB and the results are brought to verify the validity of the topology, and confirm the resultant improvement in the design.
