Design of secure urban spaces in Shemiran-E-Nou district of Tehran

Endurance of urban security contains a big deal of importance and an endured urban safety is a means of rigid elimination of threats to security. In this paper, descriptive analytical technique and biblical studies have been used. Also common and modern theories have been considered to enlighten the generality of case and achieve theoretical foundations. Field study method is also used to identify both influential positive and negative factors in physical security of case study and determination of the most crime susceptible areas. At first the theories of security and methods on usage of these theories on interior and exterior samples, specially with a closer focus on urban areas of countries like Turkey – because of cultural and geographical proximities and similarities in urban areas – were studied and criteria s, using SWOT technique and analyzing the strategies as a result of this technique, principles and requirements of designing are captured and strategic planning s are considered. There are several theories affecting the outbreak and spread of insecurity and quality loss of areas, which one of them is physical area factor and the paper emphasizes on this case. One of the important approaches of increasing the quality and safety of urban area is using the method Secured by Design. Then by using qualities studied and logical reasoning, quiddity and manners of designing emprise in order to increase the feeling of security in Shemiran-E-Nou district of Tehran. Potential of construction of a successful environment, secure and high urban quality in Shemiran-E-Nou will be achieved by design of case study area.
