چکیده مقاله:

Carbon nanotubes were growth on MgO supported iron or cobalt catalysts by thermal chemical vapor deposition (CVD) using argon as carrier and cleaner agent and C.H. as feed gas. The influences of three parameters such as type and size of catalyst and growth temperature on CNTs diameter were investigated. MgO supported iron and cobalt catalyst were prepared by impregnation method. We produced different sizes of catalyst nanoparticle by altering metal content in support materials. We have found that: 1-using Co nanoparticles as catalyst, results smaller diameter for produced CNTs in comparison with Fe nanoparticles. 2: With increasing the size of nanoparticle, the CNTs diameter was increased. 3: The increasing of growth temperature results an increase CNTs diameter.
