Sliding mode control of UPQC merged with orthogonal control system

In this paper, sliding mode merged with orthogonal system is applied to UPQC to compensate network side voltage sag and swell, remove load side harmonics and correct the power factor of the system. To evaluate performance of the converter is this system Matlab/Simulink is done. In simulation process, network voltage sagged and swelled and load is chosen in a way to inject harmonics to network to make simulation close to real condition.
