Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles Charging/Discharging Method to Optimize Peak Demand and Electricity Cost

Using electrical energy for vehicles is on the rise nowadays. Because of simultaneity of PHEVs charging time and peak hours, we consider the Vehicle-to-grid ability to discharge the battery in peak hours. The proposed method forms a matrix for each vehicle and one array must be taken from each row. These choices must be such that their summation is minimal. Due to large number of conditions, finding the optimum one is impossible with normal procedures, so intelligent algorithms such as genetic must be used. We managed to decrease charging cost up to 30% with our method
