Efficacy of Explicit Correction on Iranian EFL Learners’ ILP development: A Qualitative Research

This study was set out to examine the impact of explicit feedback on the development of interlanguage pragmatics of the intermediate Iranian EFL learners. To this aim, eightfreshmen were assigned to either a control group or an experimental group. Control group was engaged in role plays without receiving any correction; and the experimental groupreceived explicit correction for their pragmatically erroneous utterances during role plays.The treatment lasted eight sessions. Self-report and stimulated recall were employed after treatment. The results of qualitative analysis demonstrated that post-interventional improvement of the experimental group was more than that of the control group
