Role of technology in increasing self-confidence in terms of English speaking

In the past few decades, technology has dominated all fields of study especially English speaking. Traditional speaking learning had negative effects on speaking in terms of self-confidence thattechnology came to solve them. In many cases it was successful but in some others were not.This study has investigated the role of technology on English speaking skill and how it increases it. In this study 7 university student were interviewed. They were asked to participate in bothclass and virtual discussions. The results revealed that many factors were effective but three ofthem were remarkable: Teachers, Class Atmosphere and Conversation with new people. The aforementioned factors have both negative and positive influences over their self-confidence. The conclusions made are that technology can be used to increase self-conference during speaking but in some directions
