چکیده مقاله:
Hyperbranched polymers vary from those of linear polymers in their three-dimensional structures and unique properties [1]. Amphiphilic hyperbranched polymers and their properties inaqueous solution, due of interesting potential in a variety of fields, such as detergency, emulsions, drug delivery systems, and dispersions, have long been a focus of research [2]. Although hyperbranched polymers tend to have spherical structures and exhibit properties in common with dendrimers, they prepared more easily than dendrimers [3]. The mutual repulsion of the constitutive blocks of copolymers leads to amicrophase separation and formation of self-assembled structures with a variety range of characteristic size (from ca.10 to 100 nm). Many factors such as chemical nature, molecular weight of each block, concentration, temperatureand molecular architecture of the copolymer may influence onthe structural characteristics of the micelles (core and shell dimensions, aggregation number) [4].Metal nanoparticles field is one of the most exciting research subjects due to potential applications in electronics, nonlinear optics, catalysis, and etc. Dealing with the nanoparticles, however, may impose problems unless the particles are stabilized on suitable systems. Colloidal polymer-protectedmetal nanoparticles are currently under growing investigation for not only the higher surface areas and protection of thenanocatalysts from deactivation and agglomeration bysurrounding the metal center, but also the possibilities to modify the catalytic characteristics of these systems in a wide variety of ways. The polymer matrixes prevent close contact of nanoparticles with each other. The work presented here demonstrates the preparation of novel well-defined 18-arm hyper branched amphiphilic block copolymer based on dipentaeritritol and EDTA (Figure 1).The micellization of amphiphilic block copolymers with different blocks lengths are studied using DLS, TEM and fluorescence techniques (for determination of CMC values). We investigate the potential of synthesized hyper brabched block copolymers in the control of nanoparticles synthesis
