Aqueous anionic polyurethane dispersion: a mild media for the one-pot synthesis of imidazo[1,2-a] pyridines from 2-aminopyridines, benzadehydes and isocyanides

Aqueous PUDs which are formed from diisocyanates,polymeric polyols and ionic surfactants have found diverse applications in different industries such as textiles, adhesives,gloves, wood finishing, glass fiber sizing, automotive topcoats, films for packaging among several other applications [1, 2]. Imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines are interesting fused heterocyclic compounds since some of them have been shown to possess antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anticonvulsant and hypnoticactivities.
