Predicting Mechanical Behavior of Polymeric Rubber Foams (EPDM Base) using Ogden Hyperfoam Model

Rubber foam based on EPDM rubber and by using of chemical blowing agent has been made. Mechanical and physical properties of the foam have been measured very precisely to utilize in a finite element (FE) analysis and developing a model to predict mechanical response of such rubber foams. Ogden hyperfoam model is used to predict mechanical behavior of the foam in compression and shear stress state. The model is showing good monotonic conformity with experimental compression data. However the results in share state are despairing
