Sodium Alginate/Talc-g- Poly Sodium Acrylate Nanocomposite for Delivery of Indomethacin

A nanocomposite hydrogel based on acrylic acid (AA), intercalated hydrotalcite (IHT), and sodium alginate (SA) was prepared by radical polymerization. The morphology of the intercalated HT and nanocomposite were identified by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electronic microscopy (SEM). The content of the IHT on the water absorbency were investigated. The drug release profile may be related to the swelling properties of these superporous nonocomposites. This study demonstrates that nanocomposite hydrogels may be suitable for use as a drug delivery system
