Investigation of the effects of terminators on S-PVC quality

For suspension Poly (vinyl chloride) (S-PVC) powder, it is necessary to use a suitable thermal stabilizer and a reaction terminator to remove free radicals and to prevent HCl releasing at the end of the polymerization reaction. HCl producing effects on the color of PVC to yellow or brown and it may cause thermal stability reduction. In this survey in order to improve the thermal stability and production quality to a better process in downstream industries a comparison between various reaction terminators has been executed, and finally the more efficient terminator as N,N-Diethyl hydroxylamine (Term-N-atorP) is introduced.
