Influence of pH Value on the Morphology and Magnetic Properties of BiFeO3 Nanoparticles Synthesized via Modified Chemical Co-precipitation

چکیده مقاله:

Bi based perovskite systems can be applied in information storage, sensors, spintronic and microwave devices. Co-precipitation method was proposed for the synthesis of multiferroicBiFeO3 (BFO) nanoparticles. Influence of different pH value on the purity of bismuth ferrite powders was investigated. Thermogravimetric-differentioal thermal analysis (TG-DTA) technique indicated that optimal temperature for calcination is 550 0C. The phase formation,existence of transient phases (like Bi25FeO39 and Bi2Fe4O9) and the Crystallite size were studied using X-ray diffraction (XRD). The morphological features of the nanopowders werecharacterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). Magnetic properties of synthesized powders were measured using vibration sample magnetometer (VSM). The results showed that the BFO powders had R3c crystal structure with crystallite size line width analysis was found to be within 30-70 nm. FESEM micrographs were showed spherical shape of particlesand it is in good agreement of particle size obtained by XRD. Magnetic hysteresis loop illustrates the sample exhibited an antiferromagnetic (AFM) order at room temperature
