چکیده مقاله:
Deformations and stress distributions in tunnel intersection areas are more complicated than those in common tunnels. In this paper, three dimensional numerical modeling is performed by considering hyperstatic reaction concepts. Designing is done for a real tunnel project. The numerical analyses were performed for Operational Design Earthquake (ODE) and Maximum Design Earthquake (MDE) loading conditions. The numerical results showed the maximum axial force and bending moment are occurred in the intersection of main and connection tunnels. Then, the stable lining for this section is obtained using axial force-bending moment interaction diagram. This numerical analyzing presented that HRM is a suitable, fast, and practical method for tunnel engineers.
