چکیده مقاله:
nvestigating the thickness of salty and sweet layers is one of the most importantparameters of an aquifer. One of the ways to identify water salinity in an aquifer isto dig observational well and to test the available water in the aquifer which is noteconomically affordable with regard to high cost of drilling and low water tablelevel in many aquifers. Geoelectric resistivity method is the least expensivemethod to identify the quality of aquifer.Selecting Noogh region in Rafsanjan is very suitable for the study and forcomparing the two methods since it is located in the plain output.First, in the studied area 7 observation wells were drilled and then groundwater ofwells was tested in the laboratory of Pistachio Research Institute. Then, thegeoelectrical curve was formed near each well through Schlumberger method. After analyzing data and modeling it in GIS and GMS it was found that bothmethods produce the same results. The only difference is that in geoelectricmethod the costs reduce and large areas can be studied.
