More than fifty years of NDT innovation have been dedicated to the development and advancement of the use of radioactive sources to support industrial and public applications. Even radioactivity used in industry is generally low and has short half live, all actors involved in the radioactivity domain are committed to Safety and Security to avoid radiation exposures for individuals and contamination. Today, gamma radiography equipment sold must meet precise and stringent requirements in order to increase radiation protection and safe handling. Equipment manufacturers can contribute to the creation of a safer working environment by providing devices equipped with enhanced features such as exposure only when Remote Control and Guide Tube are attached, Real Source Position Detection, Self-Securing Lock Mechanism and Improved Collimation of the Beam.
