The theory of meaning equivalence

Up to the ١٩٦٠ , the major debates of scholars was word – for – word translation. Since the ١٩٦٠s a number of translation scholars come to this field and attempt to systematic study of translation theory. The scholars like: Vinay and Darbelnet, Jakobson , Nida and Taber , Catford, House and baker . The scholars have many theories in this field . Most of them focos on equivalence as an essential issue of translation. Along with these theory emerged many of problems. The aim of this review is investigate the approaches of scholars about equivalence and how can practical this theory for translation . To do so, look at some approaches of scholars and then consider to problem of translation equivalence.
