چکیده مقاله:

Teaching styles is the manifestation of teacher`s behavior in learning process, regardless of application of any method (Bennett, 1990). The term`` teaching style`` refers to the general principles, pedagogy and management strategies used for classroom instruction. Selection of teaching style depends on some factors such as educational philosophy, classroom demographic, subject area(s) and school mission statement. Teaching styles manifest individual behavior of teachers in interaction with the learners. In reality, teaching styles are teachers` identified view points, regardless of any applied methods (Bent, 1990). At least two persons are engaged in teaching and learning process. One is teacher and the other is learner. In this interaction, both teacher and learner have a specific role. Increasing one`s share reducing another`s share. According to this definition, teacher`s role can be as a consultant, facilitator, adviser and leader (manager). Therefore, teaching theories primarily fall into two categories or approaches; teacher-centered and learner- centered.
