Worldwide platinum distribution shows South Africa as the largest source and with increased annual outputs, should meet the world demands. The target reduction of platinum used in cars from 2.0 oz to 0.2 oz provides an excellent opportunity for future markets. The introduction of hydrogen technologies is South Africa are planned to respond to the platinum challenge.
