چکیده مقاله:
MAX phases are a new category of nano materials can show the properties of metals and ceramicsat the same time due to ceramic and metallic bonds in its structure and for this reason it has been considered by scientists in recent years. This material machined easily because of having a hexagonal crystal lattice and layered structure, stiffness and toughness is good at room temperature and it can maintain some of the mechanical properties at high temperature. So in this article we have tried to be explained the crystalline structure of MAX phase generally and then accomplished a brief review of studies that is done on their mechanical properties.
