چکیده مقاله:

The purpose of this study is studying the effects of maternal factors’ role and factors associated with children for anticipating separation anxiety of children of 5-7 years. This is a descriptive and correlational study. Therefore, by multi-stage cluster sampling method 350 students of preschool and first-grade of elementary school were selected from six schools in three regions of Tehran. The mothers of sample members completed the questionnaires of Child Symptom, adult attachment style, excessive intrusiveness of parents, maternal separation anxiety, maternal self-efficacy, Beck anxiety, child mood and the child's sensory profile. The descriptive and deduction methods, independent t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient and linear regression analysis were used for data analysis. The results showed that there is a direct and significant relationship between child's separation anxiety with variables of mother separation anxiety from children, Beck anxiety, and intrusive behavior of mother and parent involvement in self-help skills, insecure behavior and it has significant inverse relationship (p≤0.05) with child's safe behavior and easy temperament but it was no significant relationship between separation anxiety of children with maternal self-efficacy and sensory processing of children. The excessive intrusiveness, attachment and separation anxiety were most anticipated factors among maternal variables and, the child's mood had the most power of prediction for separation anxiety of children.
