A Survey on Maximum Power Point Tracking Techniques in Solar Installations

In this paper main and popular MPPT techniquesare described with more focus on their advantages anddisadvantages. Those methods are classified based on theircharacteristics, calculation procedures, etc. Covering the factorsof cost, efficiency, implementation complexity, control strategy,seeking global maxima, convergence speed, dependency to PVmodule and sensors, all of explained methods are compared anddiscussed comprehensively to overcome the challenging part ofselecting an MPPT technique for a specific application.
