The battle of Personal Area Networking Standard: Zigbee Vs Bluetooth

Standards such as Bluetooth and WLAN was not suited for low cost, low power and low data rate applications due to their high node costs and Complex, power-hungry RF ICs and protocols. Therefore, Zigbee is created to provide these specifications. Zigbee is a set of specifications created on Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPAN). As a global open standard used for monitoring, control and sensor networking. In this paper we explain Zigbee Technology standard and it is difference with Bluetooth on WPAN. We show that Zigbee can perform control jobs more efficient than Bluetooth in terms of power consumption, node lifetime and network stability.
